In May 1964, Chung Chen Sun held his first solo exhibition at the British Council, with the opening ceremony hosted by Lu Jin-duan, President of the Commonwealth Arts Association.

On June 29, 1967, the opening ceremony of the Malaysia Institute of Art was held, with the Deputy Minister of Education, Tan Sri Lee Hsiao Yu, officiating.

In 1980, Chung Chen Sun participated in the Fukuoka 'Asia Modern International Art Exhibition' in Japan.

On January 31, 1980, Chung Chen Sun held a solo exhibition at Ji Zhen Zhuang, with the opening ceremony officiated by Chen Shengxin.
